The Thief Lord

This book struck a nerve with me, a good nerve. I was roped in by a wonderful realistic fiction, and then I was shocked by the fantasy ending. To me, I was indifferent to this ending. I loved this book except for one thing, I was let down by Scipio! I felt he was this wonderful hero that was keeping his friends alive only to find out that he was lying to his friends. I do realize his situation and I know why he did what he did, but I don't care. I feel just like Prop on this one, let him go!
